What you'll be doing
Providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
Sharing your knowledge and passion for sewing, fabrics, haberdashery and crafting.
Assisting customers with fabric selection, sewing projects and product recommendations.
Troubleshooting and providing basic guidance on sewing machine operation and common issues.
Demonstrating sewing products and helping customers find solutions to their creative needs.
Maintaining the presentation and organisation of the Sew Centre department.
Working collaboratively with the wider store team to achieve sales and customer service goals.
Learning and staying up to date with our extensive sewing and craft product range.
Approximately 4 days per week.
The ideal candidate
Experience with sewing, garment construction, quilting, dressmaking, alterations or other sewing-related skills.
Strong knowledge of fabrics, sewing notions and sewing machine functionality.
Confidence in troubleshooting common sewing machine issues and assisting customers with product enquiries.
Previous retail or customer service experience is highly regarded.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and late-night trade.
A positive, enthusiastic and customer-focused attitude.
