What You Will Be Doing
As our Merchandise Planner, you will be the bridge between finance, buying, and store operations. Your core responsibilities will include:
Strategic Forecasting: Developing and maintaining accurate sales, stock, and profit forecasts for your designated product categories.
Inventory Optimization: Driving efficiency by managing stock levels, ensuring optimal allocation, and minimizing obsolescence.
In-Season Management: Analysing performance, identifying trends, and recommending timely actions to maximize margin and hit targets.
Relationship Building: Collaborating closely with Buyers to develop range plans and commercial strategies that align with company goals.
Driving Profit: Playing a critical role in Open-to-Buy (OTB) management and ensuring inventory flows deliver on our financial goals.
Who We're Looking For?
We’re searching for a commercially savvy individual who:
Has 2+ years of experience as a Merchandise Planner, Assistant Planner, or similar analytical/inventory-focused role, preferably in a large-scale retail environment.
Is highly proficient with retail planning systems and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables are second nature).
Possesses exceptional analytical ability and can translate complex data into clear, commercial strategies.
Is an excellent communicator who can influence stakeholders at all levels.
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is deadline-driven.
