Are you a seasoned Transport Operations Manager looking for a dynamic role with an industry leader? Spotlight Retail Group (SRG), Australia's largest privately-owned and family-operated retail business, is seeking a highly motivated individual to manage the day-to-day execution of our transport operations.
This critical role ensures efficient and timely deliveries across our extensive network, overseeing transport planners, managing capacity, and ensuring compliance. You'll drive operational excellence across safety, service, cost, and efficiency, aligning with our broader business goals.
What You'll Be Doing
Operational Execution: Manage daily inbound/outbound transport for Spotlight, Anaconda, and Harris Scarfe.
Planning & Scheduling: Optimise weekly and daily transport plans and resolve Stock in Transit (SIT) issues.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation and safety protocols.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with DCs, stores, and carriers to resolve transport issues.
Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs like on-time delivery and carrier performance, implementing corrective actions.
Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to enhance service quality and cost efficiency.
People Leadership: Lead and mentor the transport planning team, fostering a collaborative environment.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in transport planning, logistics, or supply chain management.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving accountability.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
In-depth knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation and transport safety standards.
Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) and data analysis.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

On-Time Delivery Rate: 98%+ achievement.
Stock in Transit (SIT) Reduction: Aged SIT less than 0.01%.
