Spotlight Retail Group, Australia’s leading specialty retailer, is seeking a dynamic Finance manager to join our high-performing group finance team.
This is a hybrid role that offers a compelling blend of professional growth, competitive compensation, and a vibrant work-life balance.
As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for the oversight and management of financial operations, ensuring effective reporting, analysis, and control of the general ledger.
What you'll do
- Lead the completion of month end accounts, journal adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Report on and analyse actual results against forecast
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports
- Manage the external audit and the preparation of work papers
- Support Commercial and Operations team with financial information and reporting to support decision making
- Assist the Financial Controller with cash flow management
- Lead and mentor the financial accounting team
- Identify and drive opportunities for improved business outcomes, particularly with respect to finance related functions
What you'll bring
- Must be CA or CPA qualified with prior relevant experience in a finance management position
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across the organisation
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong people management skills
