The Role

We're seeking a dynamic and results-driven Brand Marketing Manager to lead all marketing initiatives for our iconic brand. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind the brand marketing execution where you will lead a talented team crafting innovative campaigns that captivate our customers and propel the brand forward.

Reporting directly to the CEO, and a member of the Brand Leadership Team, you will deliver the brand and customer strategy across all customer touch points. The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the overall business objectives and brand vision
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and innovation to deliver impactful campaigns across various channels
  • Champion the Spotlight brand across all marketing touchpoints, including digital marketing, social media, public relations, advertising, in-store marketing, mass media catalogues, LAM, eDMs and our customer loyalty program, our VIP Club
  • Drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth through data-driven strategies and creative storytelling
  • Stay ahead of the curve by identifying and capitalising on emerging trends
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments within the business from the Merchandise Buying teams, Store Projects, Retail Operations, Ecommerce and Customer Service to ensure a seamless brand experience for all customers
  • Analyse marketing performance and make data-driven decisions to optimise campaigns and maximize ROI
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget effectively and efficiently
  • Drive the ongoing evolution of the brand

 

About you

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a Marketing Manager role, preferably within the retail industry
  • A proven track record of success in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that deliver measurable results
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels and platforms (e.g., SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing)
  • A passion for the Spotlight brand and a deep understanding of the creative and DIY retail market
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • A results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on data-driven decision making
