Please note: This role is an expression of interest, locations will be further discussed upon successful application. 

The Role

As a Spotlight Store Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Use your extensive leadership background to lead a large format store and team 
  • Demonstrating strong business acumen and experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting etc. 
  • Empowering and mentoring your team to become future leaders- Building talent pipelines 
  • Implementing and overseeing store presentation, visual merchandising and promotional activities 
  • Overseeing high-volume stock management with precision
  • Drive in-store goals, visions and targets 
  • Extensive product knowledge, driving exceptional customer service

From our modest beginnings at the South Melbourne Markets, we’ve grown into a global presence with over 135+ stores across Australia and Asia—and we’re still expanding.

As part of the Spotlight Retail Group (SRG), the largest privately-owned and operated family business in Australasia, we operate more than 300 stores under iconic brands like Spotlight, Anaconda, Harris Scarfe, and Mountain Designs.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong background in retail store management- essential 
  • Experience in managing high-volume inbound stock 15+ palettes per day 
  • Ability to lead a team of 40+
  • A passionate attitude that inspires your team to exceed goals
  • Experience in creating and implementing development and performance plans
  • A resilient, problem-solving approach driven by innovation and time management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems
  • First Aid certification, or a willingness to be trained at our expense
