The Role
We’re on the hunt for an experienced Buyer to join our Home Décor department — a diverse and inspiring range including Decorator, Flooring, Storage, Greenery, Home Textiles, Kitchen & Dining.
This role puts you at the forefront of trend, design and commercial decision-making. You’ll unleash your creativity to build engaging, customer-loved ranges while delivering strong sales, margin and market relevance across your category.
What You’ll Be Doing
Creating clear, customer-focused category strategies that deliver sales and profit targets
Developing commercially balanced, trend-led ranges aligned to company strategy
Managing the full end-to-end product lifecycle — from selection and pricing through to marketing, ticketing, VM and promotional execution
Using customer insights, data and market trends to build winning merchandise strategies
Designing and managing retail price architecture to stay competitive and compelling
Actively trading the department with your BDM and Planner to maximise sales, profit and markdown outcomes
Identifying trends, gaps and opportunities through competitor and market analysis
Leading, coaching and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional results
About You
Proven experience as a Buyer or Category Manager with 5+ years’ experience
Home Décor category experience highly regarded (but not essential)
Strong commercial acumen with a creative, customer-first mindset
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative retail environment
