Join an iconic, Australian owned and operated retail leader as a Party Space Planner on a 6 months contract position.
In this pivotal role, you will be the primary driver of sales growth, profitability, and customer engagement within our vibrant Party category.
You will take the lead in developing and executing dynamic category strategies, optimizing product placement, and introducing innovative concepts designed to elevate the customer experience across both our in-store and online platforms.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our Space Planner, you will lead the development and execution of category strategies to ensure we stay ahead of industry trends. Your day-to-day will involve:
Category Strategy & Planning: Identifying emerging trends (like DIY and sustainable party options) and conducting competitive benchmarking.
Data Analysis & Insights: Reviewing sales data and SKU productivity and performing product attachment analysis to inform adjacency planning.
Range & Space Optimization: Developing planograms that optimize product flow and reorganizing groupings based on customer missions.
Experiential Initiatives: Leading the development of community spaces (like Inflation Station 2.0) and creating inspiration zones with curated bundles.
Trials & ROI: Determining trial stores, forecasting ROI, and scaling successful concepts based on data and feedback.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with store teams, marketing, and customers to identify unmet needs and ensure alignment.
About You
We are looking for a creative, analytical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment. To be successful, you will need:
Retail Experience: Demonstrated Space Planning experience within a retail environment is a must.
Analytical Prowess: Strong skills in category management or merchandising with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
Communication Skills: Excellent stakeholder engagement skills to work effectively across internal teams.
Project Management: Experience with test-and-learn approaches and managing projects from trial to scale.
Passion: A genuine interest in customer experience and community engagement.
